Mac Repair Questions, Answered

Clear answers about independent Mac repair, genuine Apple parts, diagnostics, warranty, repair time, liquid damage and data privacy in Tampa.

Are you an Apple Authorized Service Provider?

No. MacBook Repair Shop is an independent repair provider and is not affiliated with or authorized by Apple.

Do you use original Apple parts?

Approximately 95% of the replacement parts we install are genuine Apple parts. The exact option depends on model, availability and customer approval. We disclose compatible aftermarket options before installation.

Is the diagnostic free?

The initial in-shop diagnostic and repair estimate are free. A $50 fee applies only when detailed diagnostic findings are requested without proceeding with repair.

Do you repair devices under Apple warranty?

We focus on independent out-of-warranty repair. If AppleCare+, warranty coverage or a service program may apply, contact Apple first.

How long does repair take?

Timing depends on the model, confirmed fault, parts availability and final testing. Some common repairs may be completed the same day; board and liquid-damage work can take longer.

Do you need my password?

Only when software-level or final functional testing requires access. We explain the reason and use the minimum access needed.

What should I do after liquid damage?

Disconnect power if safe, stop charging or repeatedly turning on the Mac, and bring it for internal inspection. Do not use rice or heat.

Is my data guaranteed?

No repair shop can honestly guarantee data recovery before evaluation. We discuss risk and available backup or recovery options before work that could affect data.

What warranty do you provide?

Completed repair labor is covered for 90 days for the repaired issue, subject to the written warranty terms. Parts coverage depends on the approved repair and part source.
